Change is hard, nerve racking, scary, thrilling, and exciting....this has been yet another year of change. We have had a very hectic summer so far!
The summer started with packing up my classroom at the school I have been at for the past two years and moving it to our garage to await the move to my new job. After four months, yes four months, of interviewing, I was offered and accepted a position as a first grade teacher at a private school in OKC. I am beyond excited and know that it is going to open up great doors for us in the future!
We then, for the entire month of June, stayed Sunday night through Thursday afternoon in Tulsa and the weekends at home, so that I could teach summer school in Jenks (I love Jenks schools!).
The last week of June/first week of July my brother and sister in law and nephews came from NY to visit! I am so glad they came and we had such a great time!
We then left, the day my brothers family left, for Florida with Kalen's family for a fun filled week!
Icing on the cake, we came back from vacation last Tuesday, packed our house and moved it to storage on Saturday.....
Those of you that know Kalen and I well, know that we have moved every single year we have been married; we have moved within Texas twice, then to Pittsburgh, to Tulsa, then Oklahoma City (where we are now but have moved twice since being here). We decided in June to buy a home here in OKC and committed to live here for at least 5 more years....so throughout all our craziness this summer, any free moment was spent looking at houses! The morning we left for vacation we went and saw a house, decided it was the one for us, and put in an offer driving down the road to Tulsa. On Sunday while we were in Florida we settled on a contract and are currently under contract on a house, set to close on August 23. We are staying with my parents until we close and renovate the house. We are hoping if everything goes as planned to move during our Fall break in October.
We are thankful that the Lord has been with us every step of this very hectic and crazy summer!! We know He has His hand in everything and had been amazed at the doors He has opened as we've been patient and trusted in Him!! Thank you Jesus for the new job, summer school job, and the new house!! We would have nothing without HIM!
I have some pictures to share....dating from Easter this year to my brothers visit. More pictures of my brothers visit and vacation to come!! Enjoy :o)
